How it works

How Lead Harbour finds people who want to buy what you sell

Lead Harbour is a lead finder for online stores that sell physical products. It searches recent public posts where real people ask to buy, ask where to buy, or ask for recommendations, keeps only the ones that match your store, and writes a reply you can send yourself.

The workflow, step by step

  1. You paste your store link. We read your store's public pages to learn what you sell, your price range, and which countries you ship to. If your site is not a store that ships physical products, we tell you before you pay anything.
  2. We search public posts. We run many searches for your products combined with buyer phrases like "where can I buy", "any recommendations for" and "looking for someone who makes". Searches start with the last 24 hours, then widen to 7, 30 and 60 days.
  3. We remove everything that is not a buyer. Each post is checked twice by AI and by fixed rules. Sellers, ads, how-to questions, articles, second-hand sales, old posts and posts from places you don't ship to are thrown out.
  4. You get up to 5 buyers. Each one shows what the person wrote, a link to the original post, when it was posted, why it matches your store, and a suggested reply.
  5. You reply from your own account. Open the post, adjust the reply so it sounds like you, and send it. Lead Harbour never posts for you.

The first search usually takes 1 to 3 minutes. On Pro, a new search runs every morning and 5 new buyers arrive by email and in your dashboard. You never get the same post twice.

Where the posts come from

SourceWhat we look for
RedditPublic threads asking for product recommendations or where to buy something.
Facebook groupsPublic group posts that search engines can see. Facebook Page ads and business posts are skipped.
Quora, Nextdoor, MumsnetQuestions from people asking what to buy or who sells something near them.
X and ThreadsPublic posts asking for recommendations.
ForumsPublic forum threads and Q&A pages. Ordinary website pages, blogs and shops are skipped.

We find these posts through web search engines. We do not log in to any platform, join groups, or read anything that is private.

What counts as a buyer

What each lead looks like

Example lead for a candle store

What they posted (Reddit, 2 hours ago): "Looking for someone who can make about 120 small candles with custom labels as wedding favors. Wedding is in May."

Why it matches: You sell 4oz soy candles with custom label printing, and your favor bundle starts at 100 units.

Suggested reply: "Hi! We make 4oz soy favor candles with custom labels, and 120 for May is very doable. Want me to send a sample photo?"

This is an illustration of the format, not a real customer's lead.

Limits you should know about

Your data and the people who posted

We store your account email, your store link, the profile we build from your store's public pages, and the leads we find for you. For each lead we keep the link, a short excerpt and the details needed to show it. We don't look for or collect the email, phone number or other contact details of the people who posted. If you wrote a post and want it removed from Lead Harbour, email leadharbour@outlook.com with the link. Full details are in our privacy policy.

Common questions

Which platforms does Lead Harbour search?

Public Reddit threads, public Facebook group posts, Quora, Nextdoor, Mumsnet, X and Threads posts, and public forum threads. We only see what a web search engine can see, so private groups and logged-in content are never included.

Does Lead Harbour post or send messages for me?

No. Lead Harbour never posts, comments or sends messages. You open the post, edit the suggested reply and send it yourself from your own account.

How fresh are the posts?

We look at the last 24 hours first, then the last 7 days, 30 days and 60 days. Posts older than about 60 days are not counted as leads. Every lead shows when it was posted.

Does it work for services, software or courses?

No. Lead Harbour is built for online stores that sell and ship physical products. We check your store link before you pay and tell you if it is not a fit, so you are not charged.

Can the AI get a post wrong?

Yes, sometimes. That is why every lead links to the original post and explains why it fits, so you can check it in a few seconds before you reply.
